Epidemiologist/Lead Public Health Specialist, Remote/Atlanta, GA/McLean, VA/Bedford, MA

Our client is seeking an Epidemiologist/Lead Public Health Specialist for a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

It is desired to have someone who can work out of Atlanta, GA, McLean, VA or Bedford, MA, however remote work is also an option for a strong candidate.

Currently, all work is remote due to COVID.


Successful candidates will apply their knowledge of the broad principles of public health and experience working for public health agencies to improve public health practice and research, including surveillance, response, and evaluation. 

The successful candidate will be part of our client's teams that will apply their applied public health experience to advise federal and state stakeholders about the implications of decisions to modernize their data systems and infrastructure to support better emergency response, information exchange, and data utilization. 

In this role, the candidate will serve as a critical public health subject matter expert for multidisciplinary teams that include both health and non-health experts. Candidates must be able to translate public health science to both technical and non-technical audiences and health and non-health experts, in support of analyses and evaluations of existing processes and data sources that derive actionable recommendations to improve operational efficacy in the public health domain. They will lead multidisciplinary teams in the development of reports, prototype tools and methodologies, and lead presentations for both lay and professional public health audiences that communicate findings, provide innovative solutions, and promote recommendations to improve efficacy. They will also coordinate multi-site, multi-agency, and multi-stakeholder initiatives to help advance key national public health objectives.

The successful candidate will have a master's or doctoral degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field (MPH, MS, PhD, DrPH)
