Our client is seeking a Communications Lead for a long-term remote contract opportunity.

Some occasional travel (2-4 times/yr) may be required.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Communications Lead, to manage internal and external program level communications and provide administrative support to our initiative directed at application archival.  This high paced program specializes in archival storage of critical information from healthcare, HR, and financial systems and subsequent decommission of applications to reap large cost benefits. 

The Communications Lead will be responsible for the maintenance of communication flows, both internal and external to the company.  Lead will serve as a facilitator and collaborator - coordinating with end customers, other teams and vendors to ascertain requirements and communicate concepts in a clear and accessible manner to a variety of audiences.  Lead will create effective and consistent communication strategies, policies, and mechanisms to facilitate meeting coordination, information dissemination and escalation pathways.  Lead is responsible for recommendations on process design and implementation, as related to these functions. 

 

Responsibilities:

The lead will be responsible for project support, coordination and communications across the multiple groups, implementation of policies, and administrative support. Project support includes supporting meetings, webinars and calls, taking notes and tracking and reporting of action items, developing meeting materials, and responding to individual queries.

  • Program management support.
  • Creation of communication strategy and policy for the program.
  • Drafting, collecting, and distributing meeting materials including agendas and briefings.
  • Capturing meeting notes and draft meeting minutes to include the reporting and tracking of meeting action items.
  • Organize training.
  • Responding to queries.
  • Preparing cadenced status reports and briefings for project managers and leadership.
  • Drafting, editing, and finalizing information products for a variety of audiences.

Requirements:

  • BA degree and 6 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 3 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including presentation and public speaking.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proficient in suite of Office tools.

Desire:

  • Background or experience in informatics.
  • Experience in resolving program related issues and concerns.
