Our client is seeking a Business Process Engineer for a long-term remote contract opportunity.

May entail occasional (2-4 times/yr) travel to Michigan.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an energetic, organized, resourceful team member who will participate in the process operations and performance analysis across their health care program.  Working in partnership with the Quality Assurance Manager, the Business Process Engineer (BPE) is responsible for analysis of both the customer environment and program goals as well as the specific requirements in order to develop and implement the future state business processes.  This is a virtual position, as such, the ability to work independently is crucial to the success of this candidate.

The BPE will be required to develop detailed procedural documentation, presentations, and reports as required.  They will be responsible for implementing the processes and supporting the team in any improvement activities required, ensuring that processes are developed and implemented in line with the overall architecture and all work is performed in accordance with the Quality Management Goals.  They will provide status reports as required and work to resolve issues where they arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project goals, requirements and end customer environment  (both existing and future state).
  • Communicate across end customer, internal business unit and subcontractor teams.
  • Attend kickoff meetings w/ client customers and client PMs & teams, and facilitate other quality assurance meetings as assigned.
  • Develop future state business processes aligned with ITIL principles.
  • Analysis of the processes to identify change impacts and identify appropriate methods for handling those impacts as part of the overall process implementation plan.
  • Develop and document procedures underpinning the processes.
  • Develop process implementation plans.
  • Identify process measures and mechanisms for process performance reviews.
  • Ensure that all documentation is signed off by the required authority.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the Project Plan.
  • Ensure that all documentation is provided in a timely manner and meets the required quality levels.

Requirements:

  • BA degree and 6 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 3 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with change management through all environment phases.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Superior MS office skills: MS project, word, excel, power point.
  • Ability to identify and understand business drivers.
  • Experience in business performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of defining and implementing performance metrics.
  • Experienced in developing procedures.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed.
  • Experience of working with customers/suppliers.
  • Hands-on, practical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently, work to tight deadlines, prioritize workloads and work with related internal business functions.
  • Strong problem-solving and triage skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment.

Desire:

  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience with firm fixed price task orders and performance-based contracts.
  • Knowledge of Health IT technology including Electronic Health Records.
  • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma.
